Last updated: September 9, 2026 — one day after launch. Muse is brand new, and availability is the question everyone outside the US is asking. Here's the verified picture.

Current status: United States only

Meta's launch announcement is unambiguous:

"Muse is rolling out in the US on iOS, Android, and muse.ai, and coming soon to AI glasses."

That's the entire official footprint as of today:

What "rolling out" means

Even inside the US, access is appearing gradually over the days after launch — the app may not surface immediately for every US account. If Muse isn't available to you yet in the US, keep the app updated and check muse.ai periodically.

What's coming next (officially)

• More countries, eventually: Meta's own channels say Muse launched as "a US-only rollout… with more countries to be added over time" — a direction, not a date. No region has been announced.
• Meta AI glasses: Meta says Muse is "coming soon" to its AI glasses — no date announced.
• Practical signal: days after launch, Muse's App Store listing still appears only on the US storefront — we verified it returns no results on the Canadian store, consistent with a staged US-first release.

Outside the US? What you can (and shouldn't) do

Reasonable alternatives today:

• Meta AI — Meta's free AI assistant (chat, not an agent) is available in a limited set of countries across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Facebook and meta.ai, and is expanding gradually.
• Other agents — ChatGPT's agent mode, Claude's Cowork, and Gemini's agent features are available more broadly (each with their own regional limits). Our comparisons cover the differences.

What to avoid:

• VPN-plus-new-account workarounds. They typically violate terms of service, can get accounts restricted, and — worse — third-party "unlockers" and APK sites are a malware risk for an app that holds connected app credentials.
• Paying anyone for "early access" or invite codes. Muse doesn't have a paid early-access program; early reports of invite-style confusion on social media are just launch noise.
