Muse AI FAQ
Short answers, verified against official Meta sources on September 9, 2026.
What is Muse AI?
Muse is Meta's personal AI agent, announced September 8, 2026. Unlike a chatbot, it does the work: it runs on its own secure computer in the cloud (the Muse Secure VM), can browse the web, fill out forms, send email and make purchases on your behalf — and it checks with you before sensitive actions.
Is Muse AI free?
Meta says Muse is "free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for people who want to do more." Launch-day reporting from TechCrunch and CNBC describes Power at $20/month and Maximum at $100/month; Meta hasn't published official plan pages yet.
How do I access Muse?
Three official ways: the Muse app ("Muse from Meta" on iOS and Android), the web at muse.ai, or directly inside WhatsApp. All are part of the US rollout as of September 2026.
Can I use Muse on WhatsApp?
Yes. Meta says using Muse "works just like messaging another person, in the Muse app or directly in WhatsApp." The WhatsApp version skips the app's feed and ideas features but handles core tasks.
Is Muse available outside the US?
Not yet. Meta's launch announcement covers the United States only, with no international roadmap published. We track verified changes on the availability page.
Can Muse make purchases?
Yes, through Link built by Stripe — with a one-time-use card so your real card details stay hidden, and Muse is designed to ask your approval before purchasing. Link's purchase protections apply. Keep approval rules on for anything involving money.
Is this website affiliated with Meta?
No. MuseTask is an independent resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta. Product facts are verified against official Meta sources and every guide shows when it was last verified.
